Earth Element - Gentle Yoga - Aug 24

In this Earth Element centered yoga workshop we will focus on cultivating the mind-body connection though gentle movement and breath, for all levels of yoga experience. Listening to the body, we will lean into to the essence of our own personal yoga practice, and explore creative ways to establish a unique consistent home practice. This time of year, Late Summer & the Earth Element relates to transformation, grounding, nourishment and stability.

In movement, the Earth element invites us to come home to our bodies. It’s about grounding, centering, and nourishing ourselves through slow, intentional practice. Just as the Earth holds and supports all life, our practice during late summer can emphasize stability, balance, and the connection between body and breath.

This is a time to explore movements that draw us inward—think rooted standing postures, soft twists to support digestion, and gentle core work to connect to the center (our energetic hara). Transitions can be slower, more mindful, allowing space to feel the weight of the body through the feet and into the earth.

As we move, we can ask:
What grounds me?
Where do I feel most supported?
How can I return to center—physically, emotionally, spiritually?

By honoring the Earth element, we cultivate inner stability and a deeper sense of belonging—within ourselves, and in the world around us.
