EMBODIED MASSAGE: SOMATIC FOUNDATIONS, BODYWORK & SELF CARE ~ 2 DAYS ~ 12 NCBTMB CE HRS
This experiential continuing education course introduces massage therapists to somatic awareness and nervous system-informed principles to support both clinical practice and practitioner well-being.
Day 1 focuses on integrating somatic
awareness, therapeutic presence, and nervous system understanding into massage sessions to enhance client safety, attunement, and regulation-based care. Participants will explore how slowing down, noticing sensation, and refining presence can support more effective and grounded therapeutic touch.
Day 2 focuses on practitioner self-care through a somatic lens, supporting massage therapists in developing sustainable work practices. Topics include nervous system regulation, burnout awareness, boundary setting, and embodied self-care strategies to support long-term career resilience.
